This is the most played version of bubble shooter that is available on the internet, there are many variations of this game but this is probably the best overall game so it’s popularity should come as no surprise to those who love bubble shooting games. There are a few things that make this version very popular and I won’t bore you by going into all of them but I will touch on a few of them so you can get a better understanding of the game, it’s origins and possibly the future of other bubble shooting games that are currently being developed by various other people every day.
The first thing that you’ll notice about the game is that it has the perfect balance between various and exciting colors yet still manages to maintain a certain amount of minimalism and restraint in it’s graphics. My main concern with some of the newer bubble games that have been released is that there are far too many distractions away from the actual game itself. Everything from unnecessary transitions and graphics to annoying music and sound but here with this version we don’t have any of those issues. It’s just raw, pure, and unabashed bubble shooting fun!
This game also introduced something very important to the world of bubble shooting games, mouse controls! Now if this is your first time playing bubble shooter then maybe it’s not a big deal for you but for those of who have been playing these types of games before know just how frustrating it was to only be allowed to aim with your keyboard’s arrow keys. Those keys may make the game simple to control with a single hand but they vastly lower your ability to accurately aim the canon towards the proper group of bubbles so that they can be popped.
And speaking of controls, another great introduction from this game is the aiming feature. With many of the bubble shooter games that require you to use arrow keys and don’t give you the option of a mouse you had absolutely no way of aiming the canon except for your own line of sight. Obviously this didn’t do much to help in terms of accuracy but even worse it made it almost impossible to perform once of the best strategies to use in a bubble shooter game, which is bouncing the bubbles off of the walls to get around obstacles or mismatching bubble colors.
This version of bubble shooter also has the perfect balance between easy and difficult, with some bubble shooters you’re able to pop just way too many bubbles with a single shot so the game becomes very easy and sometimes even boring because there is no challenge. Then on the flip side with some of the newer bubble shooter games they’re made way too hard with things like countdown timers, shifting canons, and like I’ve mentioned above a complete lack of aiming or controlling the game with your mouse.
But here I think the creators have found the perfect balance with the two, the game is still fun and challenging so you won’t be winning every single time you play but on the other hand you don’t feel like you’re destined to lose from the second you start playing. Other bubble shooter developers really should take a lesson from this game and either dial up or dial down the game’s difficulty accordingly.
Another upside of the game is that it doesn’t have any cheesy or annoying music to distract you from the game, play some of the other bubble shooter games on this site and you’ll quickly see or should I say hear what I mean. Also there are no annoying sound effects, this game has nailed it down perfectly with it’s whip-and-click sound effects I wish the other games had it. Especially the Yeti Bubbles shooter, I like the penguin in that game but the sound of the Yeti scratching himself in the back is really annoying and not exactly what I want to hear after eating lunch.
Anyways, enough with the ranting. Give this game a shot and we’ll sure you’ll become the like the millions of people who have played it and become instantly hooked on it. Feel free to email us with any other bubble shooter type games that you want to suggest or if you just want to brag about your high score on our all times leader page and we’ll put you up on there so you can see how you compare to other bubble shooter game addicts.
